CPG EXPO Volunteer Policy
The purpose of this volunteer policy is to ensure a clear understanding of the roles, responsibilities, expectations, and benefits of volunteering with CPG EXPO. Volunteers are essential to the success of our event, aiding in promoting consumer packaged goods industries and supporting local businesses. This policy provides guidelines for all volunteers engaging with us.

Volunteer Requirements:
Must be at least 18 years old.
Must have a keen interest in the consumer packaged goods industry and supporting local businesses.
Must be reliable and committed to fulfilling assigned duties.
Must adhere to all policies and procedures of CPG EXPO.
Must attend any necessary training sessions.
Volunteer Duties:
Assist with the setup and cleanup of the expo.
Help exhibitors with setup and sales.
Provide information to attendees about the expo and exhibitors.
Assist with marketing and promoting the expo.
Help with head counts, raffle sales, greeting guests, etc.
Attend meetings and training sessions as required.
Volunteer Benefits:
Gain experience in event planning and promotion.
Learn about the consumer packaged goods industry and local businesses.
Meet like-minded individuals and build connections in the community.
Receive a letter of recommendation and recognition for contributions upon request.
Volunteers will be managed by the Volunteer Coordinator, who will assign duties, provide training, and oversee their activities. Volunteers must communicate any concerns or issues to the Volunteer Coordinator immediately.
Volunteer Code of Conduct:
Treat all exhibitors, attendees, and fellow volunteers with respect and courtesy.
Maintain confidentiality of any sensitive information.
Follow all safety procedures and guidelines.
Report any incidents or concerns to the Volunteer Coordinator.
Termination of Volunteer Status:
The volunteer status of any individual may be terminated at any time for reasons deemed appropriate by CPG EXPO, including failure to follow policies and procedures, inappropriate behavior, or lack of commitment.
Acknowledgement of Traditional Land:
We acknowledge that the land on which we hold this event is the traditional territory of the Blackfoot Confederacy (Siksika, Kainai, Piikani), the Tsuut’ina Nation, and the Stoney Nakoda (Chiniki, Bearspaw, Wesley) Nations. We recognize their longstanding relationship with this land, and we are committed to honoring their contributions and respecting their stewardship of the land.
Non-Bullying and LGBTQ+ Friendly:
We have a zero-tolerance policy for bullying or discrimination of any kind. We are dedicated to creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for all exhibitors and attendees, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, age, religion, ability, or any other characteristic. If you witness or experience any behavior that contradicts these values, please notify an event organizer immediately.
Liability:
Please note that we are not liable for any damages or losses incurred by volunteers, including but not limited to theft, injury, or damage to property. By participating in this event, you agree to assume all risks and responsibilities associated with your participation.
